Our Story

We are celebrating the 8th anniversary of my wife, Judy’s, breast cancer diagnosis and successful treatment!  Early detection is the key, my friends! Because Judy was diagnosed early, we had more treatment options and the outcome was successful. But not everyone is so lucky nor has the means to seek early detection, and that is why supporting Komen is critical.

This year the Race looks a little different. The Komen Charlotte Race For The Cure on October 3rd is going virtual, but I am again donning my pink kilt and my pink Mizunos to raise funds for those who are facing breast cancer.

Earlier this year after being named one of Komen Charlotte’s Pink Tie Guys, I was able to raise a little more than $5,000. I hope with YOUR HELP to raise $5,000 more to make my total 2020 fundraising $10,000!

While Judy was going through her journey, I sat on the sidelines as she endured surgery and radiation treatments.  It is now time to once again get up off the bench and back into the fight.  You’ll recognize my racing attire, which I wear to stand out and make sure that this is not a “normal” 5K.

I am asking again for your support. Help me achieve my goal of raising $5,000 (by October 3rd) for the 2020 Charlotte Race For The Cure, and not only will I wear my pink kilt and pink Mizuno racing shoes, but I will DYE MY HAIR PINK for race day!

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my 2020 fundraising efforts. You can donate online with your credit card by clicking the button on my page. Also, do not forget to take advantage of your company’s matching gifts program!

Let’s Win This Fight!
