Why I am a Pink Tie Guy:
I have been a physician in Women’s Healthcare for almost 25 years. I have had to tell countless patients about the devastating news of a breast cancer diagnosis. I have held their hands, I have answered their questions, I have cried with them and their loved ones, I have helped them navigate surgery and treatment, and I have lost some of them. Outside of my profession, I have helped friends and family members who have also had to take up this fight for their lives. I have been inspired by their courage, cheered their victories, and, at times, felt the crushing devastation of their setbacks. I have treated illness for almost a quarter century, and I have served in combat as a Trauma Surgeon. I am not afraid of a fight. Being asked to roll up my sleeves as a Pink Tie Guy to help this incredible organization continue the fight against this prevalent and devastating disease is one of the greatest honors I have received…and an easy decision to join the fight.
Dr. Campbell is a Partner at Eastover-University Obstetrics and Gynecology and Co-Owner of The Center for Women’s Aesthetics. He is a former Trauma Surgeon and Lt. Colonel in the United States Army Medical Corps. He is husband to Anita Sharma, DDS and father to Maya (20) and Nathan (16).
